Case Study

ACKHI

An educational and cultural heritage platform dedicated to uncovering and sharing Africa’s true history—pre, during, and post-colonial—through authentic storytelling, research, and community engagement.

Background:

ACKHI, an organisation with a 19-year legacy, is dedicated to educating people on the true, often hidden history of Africa. Despite its longstanding impact and the founder’s local and national recognition, ACKHI had not yet fully established the presence its mission deserved. Its reach was limited to in-person events, and without a strong online foundation, the organisation was struggling to engage a wider audience.

Challenges:

  • Limited to local impact – ACKHI’s growth relied heavily on its founder’s personal reputation rather than an independent, scalable brand.
  • Outdated branding & messaging – The organisation’s visual identity and communication did not reflect the powerful mission it stood for.
  • No digital presence – There was no central hub for members to engage, learn, or stay updated.
  • Lack of awareness & engagement – Without a strong online presence, younger audiences and potential partners were not connecting with the movement.

The Transformation:

We worked closely with ACKHI’s founder, Junie, to develop a powerful rebrand that aligned with her vision while making the organisation more accessible, relevant, and impactful.

Brand Messaging & Narrative: We refined ACKHI’s messaging to clearly communicate its mission: educating on Africa’s history from pre, during, and post-colonial eras—countering mainstream narratives that often limit Africa’s portrayal to post-colonial struggles.

Website & Digital Hub: We built a professional, engaging website to serve as ACKHI’s central hub—allowing people to connect with the organisation, access resources, and stay updated.

Visual Identity & Credibility Boost: The outdated branding was completely transformed into a professional, impactful identity that showcases ACKHI’s rich history and authority in cultural education.

Audience Expansion & Engagement Strategy: We mapped out audience personas and developed a launch strategy to reach younger demographics while also strengthening ACKHI’s relationships with institutions and partners.

Revenue & Sustainability: We introduced new product development and a structured sales funnel, ensuring ACKHI could generate revenue to sustain and expand its mission.

Results & Breakthroughs:

  • ACKHI now has a strong, cohesive identity that fully represents its mission.
  • The organisation has gained clarity on its purpose, making it easier to onboard new members and establish partnerships.
  • People have noticed the transformation, asking about the website and commenting on the fresh, professional look.
  • Junie now feels empowered, seeing ACKHI finally step into the vision she always dreamed of.
